Patience That Paid off

Well I had been looking at purchasing a new RO DI unit and after getting some very good information from Desert Rat I was sold on Spectrapure. Because of my location in Canada it was very difficult and expensive to order from their site and have it delivered. I had gone to about 10 different fish stores and had no luck finding this company. Everyone sold vertex, coralife, AquaFx but not spectrapure. I though I was out of luck and going to fork out huge money to order from spectrapure. Today I looked at one more store, which was about a 45 minute drive away and to my luck, they carried Spectrapure. They only had a few in stock, not the maxcap i was looking for but a mpdi. I paid for a 90 gpd one and when I got home and pulled it out of the box, it was in fact a 180 gpd one. My luck paid off huge in the end i think.

My lesson learned dont listen to the sales guy who says that vertex is identical to Spectrapure and better because it has a booster pump.

Oh yeah total price i paid 300 flat for this unit and an external tds meter. not bad i think.

Also I was using a coralife 24 gpd unit before I bought a Tds meter and the coralife was measuring about 100 Tds. The unit is about 5 months old. And the Spectrapure is giving me a reading of 0. Money well spent
