Does anyone else have the sides of there tank painted? I did one so the natural light from the window would be cut down and may do the other.
I kind of like the way it looks. Anyone else?

I did on my 30 Gal. I just sold it...but I had it in an alcove in my house that was 37" wide, so I painted the sides black so the walls wouldn't show through. I liked it as well...and helped with light bleeding.

Yeah, I actually have the sides black and the back Blue.
I like the way it makes it look for some reason.
I may do the sides the same blue as the back but not sure yet.

I do something that's the same kind of concept, I let coralline and all sorts of other algae grow on the sides.

I was going to ask this thanks for taking the beating for me. But if we let stuff grow on the sides why not the back also.

my boy used window film on his tanks, he used like jet black limo tint on the back and a little lighter on the sides, and you can still see through it a little, and def helps keeping the light in..

and you can always take it off if you wanted to use the tank for something different in the future..
