Hey guys just wondering what kind of spray paint is best for painting the back of the tank. (outside glass of course). I have seen people using Krylon but wondering if any spray paint will do. I got a can of rustoleum gloss black. Will this be ok?

You may get differing opinions but I have read about people using wall paint put on the back with a roller... So I assume most any paint would be ok.

I use flat black spray paint myself (krylon and other brands) just make sure to give it ample time to set

Theres a product out there called "Water Colors" by Blue Life ( I think). It comes in black or blue. The application reminds me of tinting your car windows. Easy to apply and looks great. Goes on the outside of the back of your tank. I've had it on my tank for almost a year and not even a ripple.

Cleaning the glass is most important. I used a Rustoleum and it worked fine. Though if you continually rubbed it now I bet you could get some off. I heard Krylon is the best, but like others have said, it doesn't really matter as long as you clean it and let it dry properly.

And depending on where you are painting because temperature plays a roll. I had to paint the back of my 225 because it kept bubbling only to find out i was painting at 100 degrees.

I wet to Micheals and picked up a couple of cans of Valspar Interior Stained Glass Spray Paint-Blue. It worked really good.
