oversized heater??????

    How loud are those? Can you hear them throughout a 2 story house? I've never seen or at least really noticed those before but it would be a good idea.

    I ran a used heater on my old tank. BUT it had it's own temperature regulator that I set to maintain the temperature in the tank..and I also had it plugged into my controller that would turn it off if the tank got 2 or so degrees warmer than it should. I'm not sure if I would trust one with only one cut-off device alone. Heaters aren't that expensive..I'd try and find a new one that fits your tank.

    Nope.....not loud enough for that. In my case, it was in the fish room and I was in the den. However, I know for a fact that I wouldn't have heard it had I been upstairs.

    ya its used im and it is a name brand i think i might just ditch the deal. i am trying to save up for and apex though. what brand do you guys recomend. im seeing a lot of steath pros that are cheep, but their never going neer my tank.
