    Er, what? The only things that will replace a given volume of water with a higher weight are things that are more dense than water - like rock.

    Yes, that's why Turtleswamp said that. It was in answer to pink4miss when she said "i would think the water might weigh more than what the rock displaces. water is heavy. just a thought." If the water weighed more, than the rock would float.
