What are my options for overflows? I am thinking to have an overflow box with some sort of drainage system to the sump.

    Standpipes? Siphons? Pros? Cons?

I want to know what I should go with to have the least maintenance, least amount of problems, and will be easy to get started.

Post some pictures of your setup. I'm a visual learner so it will help me a lot!

Bean animal overflows are by far the best way to go. They have a double back-up system that makes your overflow run near silent as well. There's tons of information on the web about them.

Another option would be a slightly simpler Herbie overflow. Herbies have a single back-up and still run near silent.

The last option would be to do a standard durso stand pipe. They don't have a back-up but also don't have to be adjusted as often or run as silent.
