I am looking to tone down the noise in my overflow, is there anything I can do to make more "silent" during operation? Currently I don't have any airlines installed for noise, I have no idea where to put them.

    Complete overflow build:

    Thanks in advance.

Would it be possible to use less pipe? Making the whole thing more compact should make it quieter. At least it seems so in my head.

How long did you run the overflow? IME as the PVC develops a slime coat it should quiet down a great deal.

What do you mean by how long? Time or length? I do have the slime and it's been up since Feb. I finally got it to quiet down after playing with the ball valve. Also the two U parts of the overflow are 12 inches long.

Ball valve on the drain!?!? do you like wet floors? sorry but you should never restrict a drain unless you have a emergency backup drain.

not to be even more of a downer but everyone ive known that has ran a PVC overflow did just that, made the tank overflow. Even the one i had. not very reliable IMO.
if it works for you then rock it out tho man lol

Did you try putting a small hole on the top of the pvc end cap? It should be atleast 3 more inches higher as well

The end cap has 3 small holes, why would it need to be higher up?
