    im building an overflow box for a 30 gal tank what should the measurments be if anyone has any please help me

    Where are you drilling the tank?

    Myself I would drill the back near the top with 2 holes, and make a box that was 20 inches long, 3 inches front to back and 4 inches tall. Works very well. setup one drain as a full siphon with a gate valve to regulate the flow and the second drain is a modified durso, with the vent looping back into the tank just above the water level.
