    ITS HERE!
1 question before setup: The vortech box contains a rubber spacer and it says you must use it for thicknesses of 1/8" and 3/16". Then it says there is no need to use it on glass thickness of 1/4 or 3/8.
Im guessing they were implying the word between instead of or? My glass is .3 inches thick. 1/8= .125 3/16=.1875
    1/4= .25 3/8=.375.
Therefore my glass is between 1/4 and 3/8 so it is ok to not use the spacer, correct?
Im pretty sure I know the answer I just want to double check what they mean by "or".
    Thanks
I will have a first impression review up soon 8)

3/16" (the size used in 10g tanks) and 1/8" are both VERY thin. 1/4" thick glass is the size used on anything over 10 gallons. 3/8" is just the next size up in glass thickness (that is used on non-tempered glass). I believe the spacer is for thinner glass, to prevent the strength of the magnet (in vortech pumps0 from damaging the glass when you take it [pump] off of the tank.

Ok thanks for the clarification, Sean. So I take it there is no risk at all not using the spacer on my tank with 3" glass thickness?
    Review coming soon! :)

If your glass is above 1/4" you will be fine. How's it working?
