sooo me and the lady were at the LFS last sunday and the she haaad to have an orange star, so we take it home, acclimate him and hes been doing just fine until tonight. he seems alittle limp and all 5 legs are curling up slightly at the tips... im alittle concerned.. does anyone have any info on this? all of my pars are good and everything else in the tank is doing great.

i realize stars are sensitive and can be difficult to house in an aquarium but id love for him to make it since the gf is in love with it.

How often do you top off? Like shrimp stars are very sensitive to salinity changes, so the more often you top off the more stable it will stay.

Curling up how? Laying flat, with just the tips curling up?

A pic would help out, if you can.

Looks fine to me, as long as you're aware that they have a pretty poor survival rate in aquariums. I'm not sure there's much more you could do even if it was doing poorly though. Good luck!

Sorry to hear about your star. They have poor survival rates in captivity, even in well established large tanks. One of the best thngs you can do is research before you buy on impulse.
