Here's an idea I am kicking around for the sump and 'fuge on my 90. I'd like to keep the two separate, but this design sure does eat up alot of space in the stand (yet to be built). The upper tank is the 10g 'fuge and the lower tank is a 15g sump. I might do two 10's, but I'd rather have the 15 for more volume. The plumbing is going to be a carbon copy of Reefsparky's, (thanks Sparky!) with dual drains regulated by valves (gate in this case). The return pump will be right under the drain from the 'fuge. The space under the 'fuge is where I am planning on putting the ballasts for the 250w MH I got from Tangster. Any suggestions?

Run the outlet from the fuge higher up (at fuge water level). From where you have it, it's in your fuge's sandbed.

was going to do the same thing and then i had clearance issues, another 1/4 inch to 1/2 inch and it would of fit inside my stand, so i had to settle for putting a 10 gallon on the back side of the stand. I put 2 baffles in the 10 gallon and had the bulkhead about a little lower than the highest baffle

I suppose if I raised the level of the drain from the fuge, I could lower the overall platform and maybe make a shelf for the ballasts above the fuge?
