So I am new to SW tanks and have had my BC29 for about a year. I have been looking at all the nice tanks on this forum and would like some help or advice on the placement on my LR. Here are some pics of how I have it. I plan on going LED and stocking some corals within the coming months.

    Welcome to 3reef Oski,

Scaping a bio-cube or any of the nano all in one tanks is a challenge.

In my nano I try to keep the rock from touching the back wall or sides, mainly because it makes cleaning the glass a nightmare and may diminish the flow to the base of the rock work allowing detritus to build up.

To meet the challenges of scaping a nano, I have found that purchasing some pieces of rock that are branchy or even flat in appearance, really helps. Round pieces of rock just make it more difficult to get the pieces to fit together into an visually pleasing and functional scape.

Of course the scape maybe greatly influenced by the corals you want to keep. Low scapes are good for the softies, mushrooms, zoanthids and high built up scape work better for sps, while keeping lps in the lower to mid levels of the tank.

There are several members on this forum that have nanos so look around for a scape you like, I think you will fine a lot of them resemble a U or horse shoe shape.

I like your choice of sand. :)

I like to try to do island type scapes. It may be kind of hard in a nano cube. But take advantage that you have a cube and display all 3 sides! I'd say move the rocks towards the middle and off that back wall. Cubes are nice because you can have 3 display panels instead of 1 from regular rectangle tanks.
