opinions on flame angels

    I have had one for years that has never touched a coral. They are one of the less likely angels to go for coral.

    @OP - my brother has had one for 9 months feeding nothing but flake and it still looks good! They haven't seemed very fragile to me.

    Always exceptions. I have a damsel thats really a sweet fish with no aggression too. I agree with alot of posters, it you put them in a smallish overstocked tank any fish becomes fragile.

    I've had a coral beauty (75g) for close to a year, and a flame(29g) for around six months. Both are in seperate tanks. I have never had a problem with either one nipping at corals or other fish. The flame is a lesser populated tank, so maybe that has something to do with it. Like others I also feed mine a variety, I offer flake, mysis, pellet, and those brine packets from marineland.
