Open top fish?

What types of nano fish do well with an open top?

I know that I could construct a "lid" out of eggcrate, but I wanted to know for all of us MH users out there that may inquire.

So what fish are "non-jumpers"?

technically any fish can/will jump if spooked

Typically you'll want to avoid certain goby's and wrasses though they tend to be the most notorious jumpers

 

fire fish are good I believe, chromis, damsels, clownfish. I would stay away from many gobies and wrasses as Iraf said. I had a yellow watchman goby jump and die.

 

firefish are gobies, I've seen them launch a few times, worst one I've personally seen as far as jumping was a diamond goby, but my dragon goby has done fine so far no issues at all with him

 

but...plastic egg crate will fix the issue correct? I suppose if they don't jump throught the holes lol
