So for the past few nights my open brain coral has puffed up. The pictures below were taken when lights were out, but the open brain is not puffed up during the day. What is it doing? Is this bad? It looks really weird at night... : ( Thanks!

Almost EVERY night, my lobo brain,my candy canes, acans come out and have their feeder tentacles out all night, its very normal..I feed mine twice a week and they still come out every night..I would feed it mysis.

Yes I am sure. You do not have to feed it every time you see a feeding response. Yes you can feed it freeze dried krill after you soak it for a while in some sw. I feed my lps twice a week. You can take a plastic liter coke bottle, cut in half, use the upper half to place over the coral and put some food in the container. The brain will get more to eat, you will waste less and shrimp and worms will not be able to steal the food while it eats.

Did he also tell you the same thing about the coral or are those polyps (black dendro? ) right next to the brain?
