Yes you can use water from a exsisting setup up to seed a new one and if the set up is pest free you could even take a scoop or 2 of sand to help too. I did that a year ago when my dad helped me get started. I have awsome coaline growth and yet to have it grow on my glass. Hope this was what you were looking for.

Your existing nitrates won't be an issue. Due to the difference in tank sizes, it will be heavily diluted by the new water you will need to finish filling the tank.

As for rock and substrate, get dry base rock then add your existing LR to seed the base if it is pest-free. You will also do best to start with dry aragonite sand. You can seed it with a small amount of your old sand if you want, but it's not absolutely necessary.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
Seeding it with your existing coralline is a great idea.

The worm throwing webs is called a vermatid snail.

I am not sure what type of salt you can get in that part of the world, but doing routine water changes bi-monthly will take care of replacing the iodine and other elements as long as the salt mix is decent.

It is only when the population of softies and mushrooms gets large that you have to start thinking about supplemental iodine and strontium. A skimmer will not remove enough to even be concerned about. Be more concerned about maintaining a good pH and very low phosphate.

You really should run the skimmer 24/7 unless your bio-load is very very low because it would be the main source of mechanical filtration for your system. The iodine and strontium should be more than sufficiently replaced during your weekly water changes.

ok. well now i will use my old water, will put new dry rocks and supplement them with coralline algae from my old rock. there will be almost all softies in my tank. will keep skimmer on 24/7. one last thing, how much flow should be there for only softies tank? my tank will be 300 liters so 20000-25000 lph will be good? and im going for led lighting (white and royal blue) with true actinic 03(purple) thats kool?

Taking old water is overrated. I'd just use all new saltwater.

but i dont have space for keeping my corals in saperate tank for too long. so old water can cycle my tank faster.
