If I buy zoos that were kept under MH lights, and put them under my 32w PC will they loose color?

They may not LOOK as great under that lighting, but they will still look pretty nice..

I used to buy from a guy who had great lighting and i only had PC at the time, they didnt show off as much color, but that doesn't mean they lost color..

Keep your params good and they will look fine.

I see. Hmmm. I don't want to buy some, get them home and then not like them because they look so much better under MH.

Then I will start a new thread about zoos under PC's and see if they can still look pretty.;)

Also something to think about, under the PC lighting you will get a small color morph. What will happen is you might lose a LITTLE color but over the time spam of a month or so you will notice small changes in the outer ring and the oral mouth color. What you need to make sure you do is change your bulbs more frequently so the intensity stays high. They will still be gorgeous, just not as shiny

I am DEFINITELY changing my lights more often!! I usually reaplace them every year, but now I will replace every 6 months. I just had an out break of GHA due to bad lights and bad water flow!! NEVER AGAIN!!!

Yea that always sucks, but things happen...just remember with zoa's that once you get them in a spot they like be prepared to be run over with them. What I do is take pieces of rubble and place it near them so they pretty much frag themselves

yea, I did that with my yellow pollyps. I started 3 different colonies and traded to other people. I gave my best one away for a secret santa swap. The guy never got it. I didn't double bag, it leaked and the P.O. thought it might be some chemicle hazzard or something and it died.

I'm going to go Friday to LFS and check out the zoos there. He has pretty good prices. But first I want to see some zoos under PC.;D

Your zoos will do better than fine. My old tank had 2 96w PC (1 10k,1 actinic) and i had 2 zoo frags do well and became nice colonies. They looked good too :p But i must say the LED i use now bring a bit more color and growth might be a bit faster.
