try mantis if you'd like; they're pretty interesting creatures as said before. just make sure you dont put your hand in a lot or it might cut you pretty badly

Have coral, don't plan on getting rid of it. I'm getting another tank, not getting rid of 1. So I'll have a couple of different setups.

Thx, I've read that thread, it's full of info. I'll be bugging you a lot if I go that way. I just might. Please keep in mind everyone, I'm looking for ideas and doing some research right now. I know some livestock needs a certain amount of tank space. I'd like some idea of what I want to keep that way i don't get a tank that limits me.

I think from what I've read on your seahorse thread the 55 I have now would do just fine for horses. That would give me a bigger tank for what I have now. Things are growing very fast in my tank, so extra room couldn't hurt.

Okay I've decided on tank size. I think 225gal should be enough room to do most things. Now lets talk lighting. I'm sure everyone will have an opinion about lights. Right now I've got 2 T-5s fixtures w/ 4 54 watt bulbs, for my 55 gal. I'd like to stick w/ T-5s, but add a little more maybe by mixing in some LEDs or maybe a metal halide. Ant input is welcome. I'm considering adding a little more light to my 55gal to so maybe this will help me deiced what I'd like to add to the current set up.

Although you enthusiasm is getting me pumped up, u need to slow down a bit. Figuring out a tank size and what your going to put in it should take more than 1 day imo. Take your time and look at your options. Last thing u want is to buy a bunch of equipment and then have to upgrade. plan it out, that's the fun part. (And of course posting pics of ur new tank is a must) good luck.

Don't worry this is the planing faze, and I've been thinking tank size for a while now. I expect this build to take about 6-9 months at least. That's the great thing about planning things out a plan can be changed.

Unless it's such a big tank. Unless she decides on something like seahorses it's good for just about anything. ;)

I hope you have a cement floor basement or you are willing to brace the flooring underneath the tank with concrete or something since a tank that large is 2500 pounds or more.
