Well, I "go blank" when you all start talking about pump systems....I need someone to come here and set me up with something because WC's suck. Of course, I don't have a sump so that probably makes it more painful and a canister (why can't I just say goodbye to my canister? - I think it's the "old" fishkeeper in me LOL...

drop the canister and get a hob fuge, I'll sell ya one for $20 plus shipping, you'll need to re silicon the output though, but just buy a cheap maxijet and use it to pump the water into your tank

Aquarium Systems Premium Maxi-Jet Utility Pump

and then get a syphon to remove the water;)

not that this is a good excuse, it actually is, but I know some people here think I'm a guy but I'm a girl :) Think of the look on your girlfriend's face, when you're explaining the mechanical structures of your car engine, I know you know the look......

yeah, I was gonna give ya the cheap one, which you can have for $20 plus shipping, if ya want the CPR, I'll ask $50 plus shipping, but thats a $150 fuge and in good shape. but def a good addition to a tank that doesn't have a sump. It lets you add alot of LR, grow chaeto, grow pods, etc, I'll even send a free light, just cause you're all sad about your college kids growing into well college kids. let me know either way. you'll like it though

mod's not really trying to sell here, I apologize, just trying to help;)

my only hold back is that I already have so many hang-ons - one more would be difficult...I have a large HOB skimmer and biopellet reactor - is there a way to make is attractive or I guess not?

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
    What size is the tank?
How many lbs of rocks do you have?
    No skimmer?
    List all fish please.

Lets make this simple, first you do not need a canister for any reason get rid of it.

We can do a tank makeover, it may take a couple weeks and you may not see a lot of improvement immediately but we can make your tank more efficient and more pleasant.
