Depends on a weekend. Sometimes water changes can be a nice break from real life.

they suck till you get a good system down, I hated them till I got a pump to pump the water in while it got removed. When I replumb my system gonna put a water hose attachment to the sump line so i can just run it outside, and have a pump in my WC container to pump it back in, should cost $50 and make WC's painless.

Its gonna be super easy, just go to lowes and get a T and add a garden hose adaptor to it. prob $10. I just don't mind the system I'm doing now or I'd have it done. then all you need is a $20 maxi jet or hydor nano pump and some flex tubing to get the water back in. Just gonna add the T somewhere along the line. don't think it'll matter where really.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
What I hate is procrastinating about doing a water change.

It always makes feel better to do a tank cleaning and then a water change.

There is an up side to Nanos. ;)

My mixing barrel is right beside my sump. I also have a drain right beside my sump (my wife had it put in one day while i was at work). I just pump water out of tank and into the drain. Drop my pump and hose into mixing barrel and pump back into the sump. Takes me about 5 minutes to do a 20-30 gallon change

Takes me less than an hour to do 10% water changes on 4 tanks thanks to a Maxi-Jet pump. Siphon out water from tank one, empty, go to the basement and fill bucket with SW using Maxi-Jet. Pump into tank, cleaning off rocks in the process. Repeat for 3 tanks. As long as I have a spare hour on the weekends, I don't mind at all.
