    sand anemone is my guess cause he dug himself a home in my sand bed.

    Flower anemones! They are hardy and are very pretty! I believe they are from the Caribbean.
    I love them

    kinda looks like a bleached heteractis malu to me.

    bleached does not mean that they used bleach on it.. lol, but yea - it looks like a flower just a more scientific name for the one i was thinking.

    Neat anemone. My LFS had a very cool one that was about 10 inches across that's from Hawaii, and buries its foot in the sand. Very colorful, can't remember which species though.

    Very nice. I love the look of an anemone in a saltwater tank.

    Not very reef safe though, since they move around alot and will sting anything they touch.
    Nost if not all anemones bury their foot/base in the substrate as a way of staying in place. Some also have verrucae(bumps on the outside of the oral disc) underside of their oral disc. These bumps are sticky and also allow an anemone another option of staying in place.
