I have officially enrolled in the online dog grooming class! It is 25 lessons longs and takes a year for completion! I get study materials along the way, including grooming equipment I get to keep! I'm totally excited and hoping this will better my family's life (critters included) and means better tank in the future ;) Wish me luck as it won't be a walk in the park but sure looks like fun! My major while in collage was biology with a emphasis on companion animals since Wisconsin didn't have any for marine (boo!) :)

awesome! Good for you! Good luck!

On a funny side note.....I have 2 yorkies that I tried saving money on and thought I could just groom them myself one day! I went out and bought a dog razor......first dog looked bad but not that horrible. Second dog....well he is still recovering from it. I made a mistake and kept going.About 10 weeks later I took him into the groomers to get it done right and the first thing she said was......umm you tried to do this yourself didnt you! He still looked so bad. We are on the second professional grooming since that time and he is just now begining to get the yorkie look again!

Again good luck and keep us updated!

Thank you :)My friend has a friend who has her own grooming shop that I can learn the ropes and cutting styles from with one on one :)

Sounds like my parents with my dad's Shih-tzu... They finally had to take him to a groomin shop to get completely buzzed.

Haha you could practice on my wife's yorkie. She pays 45 dollars for that thing to be clipped. That would equal a new fish for me. And she said my pets are expensive. Ha

OMG I know! I do all my furkids grooming even without the class. I do their nails, bathe, teeth, clip the fur between the long hairs foot pads, ears, etc etc. My babies haven't gone to the groomer once since I have had them. ;D
