Lots of info...TONMO - The Octopus News Magazine Online!

You'd need a completely sealed tank. If their little tiny beak can fit through a hole, so can the rest of them, plus they're incredibly strong and can lift lids that aren't latched down. They're very short-lived, living only a matter of month to maybe up to a year.

    Incredibly smart, too.

Not to mention that you had better not have any fish, snails, shrimp, crabs, or clams in your tank, because they will devour everything in a very short period of time.

bvb, I'd search on tomno. I joined that site years ago because a friend of mine was part of the "staff" on there. He had a large cuttlefish (awesomest pet EVER! LOL).

I've never had either, but I did a lot of reading over there thinking about getting a cuttlefish.

A 3reef member had a cuttlefish tank for a little while. I can't remember how large the tank was. The had maybe 2 or 3 fish. I forget what their user-name is.
