    I have to ask, are you watching your redox/ORP during this experiment. I ask because too much oxygen in your tank water will kick your ORP up and if it gets above 400, you could burn your fishes gills. Have you ever heard of "the bends"? You could subject your fish to this condition if you don't closely monitor the oxygen levels in your tank water as you could supersaturate the oxygen content by injecting pure oxygen into your system.

    milesm4 something else to think about- a welder will turn off oxygen before his other gasses because it is the most explosive and flamable gas he uses- one spark and bye bye!

    That is a common thought but unfortunately that's not the case. Oxygen is an oxidizer and is NON-FLAMMABLE it lowers the combustible temp. of it's surroundings. In order to have a fire you need the three parts to the fire triangle; oxygen, heat and a fuel source.
