Nutrient source

I've always had a bit 9or a metric crap ton) of algae, but in my new system I was tring to find out why. I had good flow, nice lighting, didn't think i was feeding too heavily, and a great op skimmer that didn't pull out too much gunk.

After FINALLY population my fuge this morning I found out two of my mangroves had died and smelled a bit. Guess I should pay a little more attention

Anyways, my tank is looking pretty good, I might reaquascape and sell some rock to the LFS or Shin when he comes ;-) I have around 30 new corals and after work I will begin to update my build thread!

 

If it has an efflo on the rock, I will buy it from you!

Anyways, since you got the fuge up and running (finally), lets hope its gonna take care of itself. And we both should stop being so reluctant with testing water! LOL

 

yeah I dont know how much change the fuge is going to give me, it still all the same macro haha

 

Oh I think it might, since the surrounding water is more still than in the display, they get to work more efficiently. Is this a wishful thinking?

 

my fuge has about 1500 gph turnover..... Just kidding. I might replum to run my fuge and my reactors off the return like I did in my 55 though. The MJ*** doesn't have the power to tumble GFO and run the fuge.
