I'm getting snow tomorrow. I hope we don't lose power... Its one of the most stressful things as a reefer to go without power. K+ and good luck.

That is the BIGGEST fear from me...I dont worry about driving, running out of food or none of that. I worry about power going out.

We are getting hit right now and have been since yesterday. Dont know what the forecast is saying...too depressed to look at it.

One year my area had 2 major power-outages. Luckily I was not in the hobby then but many people lost their tanks. Some people the first time were without power for 2 weeks. I only lost it for 8 days...in the summertime. The winter one was not as bad...I think the longest anybody was without power was like 8 days.

I thought about buying a generator for my tanks but honestly I am scared to death of them

Good luck to all those who are facing the storm...hope everyone has power real soon

Run in town to see if you can find a inverter at Walmart. You will be able to run some of your tank with your car. We got 4" of snow last night and today and it has been icing up since about noon today and doesn't look like it going to stop anytime soon. I prepared myself for this kind of misfortune.

It's call a 17kw Guardian by Generac sitting outside. :) Come on rain. :p

Sure do. Didn't want to be here to switch over to backup power and run extension cords. Been there...done that. :-/ Put her in back in July of last year and wish I would have done it years ago. Great piece of mind, and insurance.
