Ok so where I live just got beat down by a storm no power for as far as I know! Gonna hook my tank up to my car! If I can find my adaptor! But will only be able to run minimal equip! Is 1 power head enough, or should I add an airstone? Wow did we just get Whapped! Thanks!

1 powerhead aimed at the surface should do you fine. Keep the airstone for back up if it is battery operated.

Wow, that sucks Ryan. Is this for your 55g or 90? I would try to run at least one powerhead and a heater.

how big a tank again? I would tend to go powerhead, but in a small tank, I may opt for an airstone. If the power stays off a long time, say after a few hours, you may want to do both.

Thx guys found a friend with a spare generator do should be able to run enough, If I get back enough to save everything! Trees down everywhere! 30 minute drive should take an hour! So 3 hours without power!

Kids, this is why ya buy a cheap emergency generator or battery back up!

You can also add hydrogen peroxide dilute with tank water to increase oxygen in the water if the air stone isn't enough.

IME temperature fluctuations arent as big of a deal as ph fluctuations. If you keep your flow going and possibly add an air stone you should be fine.
