    harmless feather duster.

Not to rant, but can we please stop telling people to kill stuff without a positive ID?

I agree, If you don't know what it is it is poor advise to tell some to kill it

I'm not sure that looks like a feather duster, guys. It does look more like some sort of transparent anemone to me.

If it does it come out of a cylindrical tube, and as soon as you touch it with something it quickly rushes inside his tube, then it is a feather duster. If it's just attached to the rock it's some type of anemone IMO.

Agreed. I never thought it to be a duster...didn't want to argue. Go poke it!

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
I hope it is more a debate than an argument. :)

I too thought it looked like a possible anemone, but the appendages look too geometrical to be an anemone to me.

But yes best way to solve the debate is to touch it. It should withdrawal before you even get close, if it is a feather duster.

    :)

It retracts into the rock if i get close. I would guess that makes it a feather duster. Thanks guys.

Into the rock or into his own little tube that is mounted on the rock?

    Debate it is ;)
I know nothing about appendages though.
