    +1 on bacteria. Something like "Prime" or any other bacteria additive will help speed the nitrate consumption.
    If I understood correctly, you don't have fish yet, so you must not be feeding, right?

    Cyano can be somewhat fought against with an increase in flow. This is what I did and it went away pretty quickly... 1.5 or 2 weeks top! What do you have for flow inside the tank?
