I've always wondered, if I put the palys in the shadow of a live rock, will they still receive enough light?

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
I think they might do ok in slight indirect light. Any zoanthids that I have had always did better under the lighting. Now mushrooms can go in shaded areas and do well, but palys I am unsure about. You could always try it for a week or two and see if they change color or have to reach for the light. Or you could wait until they grow out some and frag some and try placement.

2in10 has tons of so he probably has a better idea if they grow in shaded areas.

    :)

Tank looks good man! I have two clowns that LOVE my heater which happens to be right behind all the LR and totally out of view! I can never see them. So I'm totally going to pull a fast one on them and move the heater. My tank just reached age 1, so I'm thinking within the next few months I'll buy them an anemone so they move out of the corner!

Thanks, my clowns picked a spot up front. While its kool to be able to watch them, you better not try and move frags anywhere near there. I got nipped atleast 5 times tonight trying to position my new frags.

Well I saw a small derasa clam at my lfs for $25, couldn't pass it up. Here's a pic after a 2hr drip and setting over the peice of live rock I buried. My clown decided she wanted some face time too.
