    Greetings..
Well nothing worse than a woman scorned...I just got a divorce deal from craigslist..JUST COME AND GET IT OUT OF HERE !!! $100.00

Pretty good score..but I thought there would be more...not looking a gift horse in the mouth mind you...but I did'nt expect the way they did things.
Apparently it was just fish...no corals at all....they had no testing supplies because she said all they did was take a sample to the shop and then they would fill/sell them the proper mix to take home and change out..(got 3 nice 5 gallon jugs also)...But what I did get was pretty good for $100.00
Sorry no before pictures....it was a mess...she told him to take his fish and get out...and she just unpluged everything and let it evaporate out.
So, after about 3 hours of cleaning...heres what I got.

    Tank front 55 gallon Glass
Nice 48 inch combo light setup,T5 blue /white/ lunar / no MH

    Tank Rear
CPR skimmer, heater, 2 MagJet 900power heads.

    Other stuff
Original lights,(good for DIY ;D) an alk mg test kit, siphon, net, magnet cleaner etc.

    Lights..They work.

    Rocks..
Scrubed them up and have them in the sun drying now.

    Now for the Questions...
I want to start cycleing this tank so I can do my transfer from my 30 gal. around Nov.... 70 / 90 days from now.
I rinsed out this sand until it was all clear water..remember nothing died in it..if that matters...just a TON of salt built up on everything!
I scrubed the rock..and is now drying in the sun.
What do I do to prepare this media for the tank?
It is reuseable?...microwave? Bleach? I have heard these mentioned but not gave it much thought until, of course, now that I need to.:p

    thanx in advace folks,
    LG

i have herd of bleaching or boiling rocks but have never done that to any of my rocks i just bleach them in the sun for a week or so as long as they have not used copper in the tank to treat for ick or something you should be ready to go forward with your setup.

i wouldn't do anything else to the rocks once they are completely dry jut blow them off with a air hose scrubbing works good but once they are dry everything is dead for the most part with my extra rock i just let it dry and put it in the tank if i need it i have never had any problems with it
