Something to keep in mind with the seahorses, is that they require a lot of feedings and a lot of patience. If they are not interested in eating something, they just let it drift to the bottom. You have to be careful to get all of the uneaten food out of the tank, every time they are fed, otherwise the water quality will go bad quick. That's every day, every time they eat. If you have the time and the patience, then great, you'll do well. :)

Yes they are VERY, VERY messy eaters! But I never cleaned out uneaten food, let the Nassarius snails take care of what made it to the bottom which was very little. I had tons of snails in my tank, sometimes is was kinda weird when they would all come prowling about, looked like a scene from a scary movie!

But I also took allot more time them most people would when feeding. I would sit there for 30 or so minutes dropping a little bit of mysis in the tank at a time. I feed like this until they showed absolutely no interest in food as it sank to the bottom.

Peka is a big proponent of feed using a small glass dish, in fact if I am not mistaken hers are all dish trained. you loose allot less food this was, but mine showed absolutely no interest in a dish, the would not even get close to it.

Hi.. I'm Peka....my name has been mentioned here several times so I thought I should pop in and say hello. I am located in Lake in the Hills, Illinois and do breed seahorses. I currently have erectus available. I am all about helping people with seahorses. They are my passion. I read that someone tried to email me but I did not receive an email.. If you would like to talk about seahorses or are looking for any advice please email me at [email protected] and we can talk.

It's great to meet all of you.. I will try to post pictures as soon as I can. It's a little hectic with the holidays :) Happy Holidays to everyone!!!
