    That's kind of interesting, but weird. Do you run your current tank w/o one? I am just trying to get a grasp on things.

    im thinking about getting a small heater and puting it in the fuge because i have been watching the temp for the past few days and the tank NEVER leaves 66'd or the the scaner or what the back strip thing is call is broke.

    i am for this tank but i have a real one with prob from my 26, ill bring that down and see what it says

    Good idea. Those stick-ones are crap from the experience I have had with them. They really do not show the change in temperature and are way off.

    How cold is your house??? Cuz unless you have a fan blowing on the water you tank should be pretty close to the temp of the ambient air surrounding it.

    My Basement stays at a constant 74 degrees almost all year, never had a chiller or heater in any of my tanks and the seahorse tank varied between 74 an 75 and my reef with all the pumps stays right at 79 degrees.
