    Haste makes Waste!!!!!
Don't be in too big of a hurry. It takes time to be sure the cycle is complete and from your readings, you are quite a ways from complete at this point.
Once it looks like you have cycled, you need to add some ammonia again and see if it clears fast. Bring it up to 1ppm and it should clear in 8 to 12 hours max, but hopefully even faster.

Con, this is really interesting! I'm reading your thread as well as one from Gazog and have like 12 tabs open all about caring for seahorses. haha :)

I don't have a lot of money, but just humor me...how much do you think it would cost to do a 25g high((acrylic)if I built my own stand and tank)?

That being filtration/lighting/ and equipment. I know they really just need T5 lights?

it would way less than a reef tank, you dont need particularly great filtration unless there are lots of corals, also i wouldnt do any more than just normal output flourescent lights because they will be timid with bright t5's. also buying brine shrimp would be rather priceyor pods, unless they eat freeze dried food. also they dont need much flow so not relaly any pumps necessary. hope that helps.

That was helpful. Thank you. So low light and a skimmer...A 2" fine sandbed and dry rock + something for them to hitch to. I do want some corals, but I will just go with some softies.
