Ok, now I get your plan. A simple table shrimp coupled with some previously establish liverock would be great.... adding the damsel is not necessary. You wanna protect this investment the best you can.... using the damsel is putting yourself at a disadvantage. Think of the time and money going into this project.... do you want to start off at a disadvantage?

 

ya and i just found a bottle of old flakes. could i use that insted of the shrimp

 

ok well i was think and i just remebered 2 qustions i have. one is flow im going for about 5 turn over rate. i have on thats 123 gph, that should work right. also every year we go on a week long vaction to maryland. last year i was freaking out becuse the only people she would trust to come in our house and feed our fish were going with us. my fish went without food that week. now i know that horses need to be feed every dya, what should i do when that time comes??????

ya but my mom would never let them in the house

they had a problem when she was a little kid were someone took their house key, made copys and sold them. they were robed 3 times

 

Maybe you could transport them to someone elses house (not ideal but possible)

or bring them around your house more often so your mom could become comfortable with them

wow i hate waiting for sand to settel. im hoping it will be dont by tomaro morning. dose anyone know a way to get it to clear faster. also how many days should i be adding the food for, like untill it cycals, just the first few days??????

 

Go with more flow than that and just have low flow areas. We've kind of done away with the super low flow recommendations.
