Yep we really need to know how long you've been setup. Have you cycled yet or no? 2 key questions you need to answer before proper help is given ;)

probably way too soon. Do you have test kits. how much live rock do you have mandrin won't do well in unestablished tank.

What do you need help with?
Literally, your first post is kinda vague and the only thing I would change is your ph. But, there is a catch with your ph. Try measuring ph at 3 different times of day. Before lights come on, after lights come on(mid-day), and just after the lights go out.
Do you have a specific question regarding how you are doing?
    Fill out this questionnaire :).

    Brief description of the problem.

    A picture(s) will also help.

you forgot the anemone and 2 shrimp. Oh, and the 3rd Blenny

He has a nice set up, I have been trying to get him to take pictures of it and post them up but he is reluctant to do it. He doesn't think you will believe he has only set it up about a month ago. But it actuality it was set up about just before Thanksgiving.
He originally bought a 60g tank from a LFS set it up and started the cycle with uncured live rock and then a few days into it it sprung a leak. So he called the store he bought the tank from and they came out the very next day with a complete new 75g set with everything included and didn't charge him a dime for it, set it up an even told him to keep his other set up. I was amazed of that, that is customer satisfaction!!!!!

So believe him when he says his tank has only been up for about a month...He is constantly taking water samples to our local store where the owner is a member of the Shedd Aquarium in Chicago.

I myself am a newbie and am setting up the 75g also but in now hurry to get it going right away, I am researching my options as to what kind of set up I want FOWLR or REEF.

What about ammonia levels and nitrite levels? Those will be the key readings we need to know on if your cycle is complete or not.

And, unless you are injecting pods into the water, that Mandarin is not going to do well in an unestablished tank. They need tiny crustaceans, as in copepods, to eat. I would go get something setup with your LFS guy on how to keep that little guy fed if you haven't done so already.

Ammonia and Nitrite readings will helps us give you a better answer. Right now it looks "iffy" to me. Especially with uncured rock.

Actually, you can grow quite a bit under PC lighting. Granted, it is not a good choice, but I fell into that trap also. I have many corals growing under mine.....Just don't try SPS, clams and the more light demanding LPS

You don't need to do this with as many fish as you have in there right now.

Way too soon for as many fish as you have. At most, in a 75g, for the first 2 months or so I would only have one clown or damsel in there.

Ummmm. You are going to have some deaths in the aquarium family I fear. You need to stop buying fish and start figuring out which ones you want to take back to the LFS. I am surprised they sold you this many (if they knew the age of your tank). You have a difficult (and expensive) decision to make. If they make it though the cycle I will be very surprised.

OK, the anemone needs to go back today. A tank needs to be at least six months old before one of these goes in. If it dies, it can wipe out a 75g tank.

So, the bottom line here is slow down. Slow, slow, slow. If you don't go slow, you will be in a world of hurt for months. That even goes when the tank is cycled and matured. You are creating a pretty difficult ecosystem to maintain and it needs to be done one step at a time. And keep in mind there is a fish limit you can have of about 1 inch per 3 gallons. Keep in mind these fish will grow to full size (or close to it). The myth that a fish will grow to tank size is just that, a myth. It may grow slower, but it will eventually get there.

Also.....feeding schedule was not mentioned. I feed my fish two or three times weekly max. Any more than that and you are creating a nitrate problem (in a cycled tank).

Best of luck to you. But you really, really need to slow it down big time.

    Peace.......John.
