New to the site so I thought I'd say hi. I've been in the freshwater hobby for about 12 years now. Done everything from a Betta tank to a fully planted tank with Co2 injection. I'm looking to start my first saltwater tank..I've been doing my research and gathering as much info as I can. I believe I just about have everything to get started. I want to do a 20 gallon long fowlr setup. This is a list of items I have so far. Please let me know if I need anything else.

20 gallon long aquarium that I had sitting around
30" coralife aqualight with 10,000k bulb and a 10,000k/Actinic bulb
    100 watt heater
    2 koralia nano powerheads, 1(240)1(425)
    Refractomer
    thermometer
    60lbs of instant ocean
    40lbs of Arogonite sand
Tunze 9002 skimmer in the mail
Going to have about 30lbs of live rock

Welcome to 3reef. Seems like you have a pretty good start there. What fish you were thinking of keeping.

Welcome! Can't wait to see the tank progress, were you going to have any type of filtration? Sump, or maybe a canister?

definitely a clownfish, and I was thinking a firefish goby, royal gramma and either a watchman goby or somekind of small blenny, not totally sure yet though. As far as filtration I was just planning on the live rock and skimmer and possibly down the line a sump/refugium.

Welcome, good start I would however suggest an aquaclear 50 filter to run GAC and GFO. It is important from the start to keep phosphates down and to improve water quality. JM2C;)
