    Hello Y'all!

I have been a recently introduced to the World O' saltwater aquariums and am quite excited about it! It all started when my wife gave me the task of finding a 'pet fish' for my 2 year year old. Being the obedient husband that I am (well.... sometimes ::)), I took the kid to a local aquarium shop that I knew about, but never ventured into. As soon as I walked in, I knew we were in trouble! To make a long story short, a few days later I purchased a Innovative Marine Nuvo 16 tank off of CL and here I am!

Both my wife and I were eyeing the 38 model, but she thought it was a little bit too much (think $$) for our first adventure. We also accounted for living in an abode on the smallish side as our current place. We'll see where things go, but I can already tell that this could be a lasting hobby.

Here is the current setup and going through the cycling phase.

Hey Booker, I am in Texas as well as you can see on my profile. Welcome to 3reef. I also started this venture because of my 2 year old son's excitement for fishies. I started out going to just get a 10g FW tank, and have turned it into a 55g SW FOWLR adventure. My sons birthday was 27th of June and we don't have any fish yet, but when the cycle is done I know my son and my wife will love the additions.

    Happy Reefing,
    Zach

Welcome to 3reef! I second Coraiiline's observation - that tank looks excellent! What a great start for you and your family! You are going to love it! Will a "Nemo" fish be in the stocking plan? ;)
