Somtimes at night I have a MILLION white small balls on my glass and rocks. They're smaller than a pencil eraser, but bigger than a pencil tip. They're a little bit smaller than the dots on a small set of dice. They're spherical. Not sure how else to describe them. I don't see them during the day and only occasionally at night.

Coral spawning is a very very rare event in home aquarium systems. You'd need lighting and tide mechanisms that would mimic the lunar cycles.

It was really the only thing I could think of were gammets that matched the description.

Do you have nerite snails? They lay eggs all over the glass and rocks, or maybe limpets, I used to have a ton of them, they looked like small white chocolate chips when I looked down into the tank, just small white circular things looking from tank glass in at them.

Do they move? They could be collonista snails, they can be very small and white and are very nocturnal. If so, they are beneficial little algae eaters.

I think I have the same thing that appear and disappear in my tank. I haven't paid attention to whether they appear or disappear at night though. I believe I have seen them in the daytime as well, but they do come and go.
