New test kits

Well ive been using api for the last 2 years that ive been running my reef. Nothing has died (knock on wood) and corals are healthy but not alot of growth like I want. Ive been testings and things are were they should be, Lfs in my area use same kits so pointless to bring to them. Since im a reef head now and have a lil money coming my way I want to get test kits that are more accurate. I know im def get salifert tests for mag/cal/kh since ive used them before by another local and easier for color blind person to read!.

Question is what other kits should I get for ammonia/nitrate/nitrite/phosphates (pointless test since hard to get a real reading)/ph. Im getting the others up top mentioned from BRS along with the 2 part dosing stuff.

I'm going to wait for those new Hanna checkers to come out. Those look sweet.

 

I like Salifert for Phosphate also
not tried the Salifert Nitrate , but its on my list to check out

I would go Salifert all the way

Red Sea make good kits IME for calcium, magnesium ( calc and mag pro) but suspect for Alk IME

cool ty i have the red sea for the mag, saifert for the KH and cal. Ill get the standard testign other for salifert

 

I agree, go with Salifert. They are the best, IMO.
