hey guys i have my 150 up and running have done for a week or so now, my question is this, i have to tanks already established, have been running one for almost 3 years and the other for about 18 months, so i want to move all my stock into the new one, so what im asking is if the tank needs to cycle for a month or so before i transfer everything over or, because the rock is cured and has a healthy bacteria build up if its ok to slowly start moving stock over sooner, provided all the levels are ok

I've heard of people just transfering everything into the new tank... But I'm not 100% sure if thats true. Just what I've read with people doing on here..

don't reuse the sand. get clean sand. otherwise just move all else over - done. if your rock and stuff is good, you may just get a little mini-cycle.

use as much of the water out of the tanks you can. have fresh made SW on hand for make up.

ok, i'm assuming the other two tanks are not tiny. I'm assuming your moving maybe around 100+ gallons of tank into the new one. if the other two are like 5 or 10 gallon tanks, I'd let the 150 cycle on its own, personally.

the other 2 tanks are both about 35g each with about 90-100lbs of live rock between them, and it will be brand new sand. the water in the tank is all new water. its been running for about a week. i have broken then first tank down because it didnt have any stock in it and i placed all the rock straight into the sump. so it was out of the water for about 5 min max, and it has been in a system for about 3 years. so now i just need to move the contents of my red sea across to the 150

I used 125# of new base rock, all the water and live stock from my 72 in my 120. I used about 45# of LR from my 72. I used new sand and moved my sump/fuge also. I had a small cycle but nothing to bad.
