ok i just bought 2 octopus skimmers 1 is a bh 100 and one is a bh 300. the bh100 didnt come with the pump its supose to have which is the resun 225 it came with the the octo-1000 needel wheel is this something they messed up or did they replace the resun with the octo1000 and second
the bh 300 has the 2 resuns on it but the slip fittings that screw into the pump then slip onto the intake tubes are not tight i was thinking i was suppose to glue them on but then i would not be able to service the pumps without having to take the whole skimmer out.i also heard i should remove the foam so it cant clog and overflow is this true any info would be a big help and is there any little tricks i should do to them before they go in thanks

IMO the OTP-1000 is a better pump than the Resun, it has a little more flow, so you are ahead of the game.

As far as the 300, I have a BH300F, and I found I had to tighten the fittings when I got it. Other than that I haven't seen any problems
