New six line getting harrased.

i recently added a six line to my tank. 29 biocube loaded to the tits. this was to be my last fish for this tank. 2 clown one black and a nice orange w/black cap, a large bengai and a blue damsel. (started the tank with him-tester 2, tester 1 either didnt survive the cycle, or tester 2 ) cleaner shrimp, clean up crew and a large variety of soft corals, mushrooms, gsp, clove polyps etc. the blue damsel wont stop chasing the six line. he will only come out to eat. other than that i cant find him in the tank with or without the lights on. i am always looking in the back of the filter to see if he is down there. i cant get the damsel out, i have tried in the past. i cant see the six line other than when he eats. he looks good, healthy. if he was a little slower the damsel would have killed it by now. what to do? hands are kinda tied.

 

give it a few days and the six line will own the tank and the damsel will be getting chased by it

 

the damsel has some size on him. i had a royal gamma and the dasmel owned it. i hope ur right i could care less about the damsel.

 

why not make a simple trap to get the blue damsel?

 

i dont know that would work. i would probably catch everything but it. and at night he sleeps in his "layer" you wont see him till the lights come on.

 

Or try putting some food in a red net (fish have a little trouble seeing red). You have to be quick though. As soon as you move it, motion will scare it away.....otherwise just construct a simple trap out of a small piece of tupperware and a chunk of eggcrate. And of course the string to snap the door shut.

 

things are getting better. either the blue guy realizes he cant catch the six line or the six line has turned the tables. i can locate the six line, and no food has gone into the tank.

 

The Sixline was probably just stressed. In time you will see that the Wrasse can stick up for itself just fine.
