Saw this sebae nem at LFS. Of course they said he's fine and will do just fine in my tank.

After reading online more about em, looks like he's not doing too good:
    1) He does not seem to be too sticky, not slimey either
    2) While not transparent, he's definitely milky white and not tan/brown
    3) His tentacles are fat and short

Is this guy in bad shape? Ill do my best to get him what he needs, perhaps he'll color up.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
If he is attached that is half the battle.

Yes he does look a little bleached, but with time and sufficient lighting he should color up. I have not idea regarding your fixture as it is LED, but I will assume that if it can keep LPS, sps and clams it should support an anemone.

I would not say bad shape but worthy of keeping a good eye on.

    Good Luck.

They are tough to care for I had one in my smaller tank but it only lasted like a month and he started doing face plants on the bottom of the tank

you might not have enough lights..sabea need intense lighting..how much light do you have??

if u just have a 2x54 fixture over that 55 gallon then i dont think you do..

I should have my two AI SOL 24 SuperBlue LEDs in 2..3 days. They finally shipped! That should be more than enough :)

That should create a ton of light in most of the tank with few darker spots at the edges.

P.S. Yet another thing local LFS said should be just fine, my 2x54W T5s. *sigh* I swear, this is the last time i buy anything at LFS without first spending a day or two researching online.

Sebaes are hard to care for ime. They are poor shippers , so once they get to your tank there's not much you can do except provide pristine water conditions and lights and hope for the best.

they are not the easiest to care for, but they are very possible to keep healthy in a good tank. compared to a ritteri or carpet they are nothing, but to a bta they are rather difficult and not considered or beginners but then again no anemone is. they can be healthy in your tank, im sure yours will turn around.
