That looks like a CSPDI. Heres the link for the Spetrapure website. It has the manual for you to read and get familiar with it.

    CSPDI SYSTEM

Basically starting from the left you have a sediment filter, then carbon block, then DI resin. The horizontal tube on top is the membrane.

The filters are on sale at the bottom of the page here:
    Untitled Document

If you paid $60 for that you got an excellent deal!

Whew AZ that makes me feel good! Hey I looked at the filters and i have no idea what to get. Also, I know you already helped me with this but how often does each separate stage need to be replaced? And what stages should i change right off the bat?

The 0.5 micron sediment filter and 0.5 micron carbon block should be changed every 6 months and you disinfect the system at that time to keep it safe.

You change the SilicaBuster DI cartridge when the RO/DI TDS is no longer showing 0 TDS on a consistent basis. The RO membrane should last 5+ years if you keep up with the sediment and carbon changes and disinfections, I have seen them go 10 years even.

The inline TDS meter is set up to give you the RO only TDS and the final or RO/DI TDS. I like to know how my RO membrane is performing though and for that you need to know your tap water TDS so you can calculate the RO rejection rate or removal efficiency.
To do this you either need a handheld TDS meter (which I personally prefer) or you can use the inline temporarily easy enough. Get yourself a couple feet of extra 1/4" tubing, the color doesn't matter, then remove the final RO/DI treated water line with the tee and OUT probe installed. Swap the Tee and Out probe in to the tap wate line somewhere between the faucet and the sediment filter and stick a temp piece of blank tube on the teated water and run the system for a minute or two recording the tap water TDS on the OUT probe and the RO only TDS on the IN probe the put it back to original making sure the probes are rotated in the correct orientation in the Tees so they read correctly.

Now, take the two TDS readings for the tap and RO and do the folowing calculation.
tap TDS - RO TDS /tap TDS x100= rejection rate.
As and example lets say the tap TDS is 200 and the RO only TDS is 4. 200-4=196, 196/200=0.98, 0.98x100= 98% rejection rate or removal efficiency which is where you want to be.

Another thing you need to do is check and adjust the waste ratio according to the directions in the CSPDI manual. Since the unit is used the flow restrictor may have already been trimmed for the original owners water conditions but you want to fine tune it to yours. Its possible you may need a new restrictor for your conditions but they are only $5 andcan be ordered along with the replacement filters if you test it beforehand and find you need one.

At a minimum you probably need a sediment and carbon block filter, thats like $25 in the flyer I think. If the RO/DI is not 0 then you need a SilicaBuster DI cartridge too and thats like $53 or something for the set of three replacements. You still have much less invested than if you had bought it new and its as good as new at this point.

I love RO water for drinking, cooking and especially the ice maker, it makes clear ice cubes not the old white cloudy ones.
Shop around for drinking water kits though, I have found a complete add on kit including the ASOV, faucet, tank and all the hardware for around $50-$60.
