New Rimless tank with Aquatic Life Lighting

By the end of this year I want to get a new tank it will be a Rimless tank which I think 48x24x16 would be an ideal size(95 gallons). Aquatic Life is coming out with their new lighting fixture in 2 weeks which will have 2 HID MH bulbs 150 watts each and 4 HO T5 bulbs 39 watts each. =456 total watts. The fixture is 15 inches wide with 2 T5's on each side of the MH bulbs. Is this enough lighting for this size tank? I want to stay away from a chiller. I have a mixed reef tank now so it will remain mixed. If anyone wants to recommend some good rimless aquarium manufacturers I would appreciate it.

Sounds like a good plan. You can try to order from glass cages, they do custom tanks at a pretty good price.

 

I heard bad things with them. That fish place recommended LeeMar Aquarium.

glass cages does make a quality product, its just they can be hard to deal with. there are several tank mfg out there. do some research. remember, you are going to have to deal with shipping from GC if you get theirs. most complain about seams. they make acrylic and glass tanks. I like their black silicone. gives teh tank a nice framed look with no discolloration on the silicone.
