Ok so today i picked up a 75 gallon tank, with a 1700 rio pump, all the piping i need for the aqua clear wet dry filter(bio balls), glass hoods and lights(fresh water light) all for 150.00. now my question is should i get rid of the bio balls or keep them and add another type of filtration?

keep if you are doing freshwater other wise throw them away. Live rock performs the same function in salt water.

When I ran a wet dry I replaced the bio-balls with rubble. I suggest doing the same.

Remove the eggcrate so the rubble is under the water.

Id stick with a pair in a 75 gallon, anything more then a bonded pair will most likley fight till theres only 1-2 clowns left.
