New "pico" inhabitants!!!

Thanks Cam, always admired them, but their nasty habit of "nuking" tank upon demise detered me from putting one in main tank or nano...which are probably too active/busy for one anyway...

New pico is perfect for one...as long as I knowingly am going to have to swap fish out in time as it gets bigger.

Hopefully will not be for a good while.

Will be kind of fun watching its actual growth rate.

Is the yellow box fish reef safe?
I was always under the impression that boxfish in general were not a good idea. Because if this is the case, im rushing to my LFS to buy one

You mean when she sees that cute little fish she won't instinctively know...

 

Is generally safe...but needs a mellow tank environment.

Busy, aggressive tankmates may stress it out and it will get ill or go belly up pretty quick.

And upon doing so will release a toxin that will wipe out entire tank. :-[

In appropriate environment, no reason for it to do so.

Use caution on decision to get one...

 

You can name it Crouton; just don't name that Pajama Cardinal "Caesar!"

 

Are they good in a 1 fish only tank?
