I just got 3 pajama cardinalfish from someone who wasn't able to care for them. I have peaceful tankmates. 2 clowns 2 chromis 1 YWG in my 55 reef. From what I've read I know they are peaceful and need friendly tankmates, like to be kept in groups, and are easy to keep.
Does anyone have any feedback about these fish?
    Thanks

    I'll post a pic tomorrow

I just got a ORA pair of them, they seem pretty easy to keep.

They don't do much when the lights are on. I believe they are considered nocturnal fish and will do most of the feeding at night. For this reason you should feed brine shrimp or frozen mysis at night. I'm sure you could probably train them to eat during the day with no problems, but if you don't see them eating then feed at night.

I have 2 in my tank that are the original tank inhabitants. They are probably the easiest fish in my tank. Never had to worry about them not eating, they were already eating during the day at the LFS. They are pretty fast growers for their size. Most people that see them in my tank think that they look like 3 different fish combined into one.

Thanks, all. From what I understand these three fish have been together for years. Yes, they seem very slow and methodical. I'm sure they will do fine. Things are very peaceful I'm my aquarium.

Love cardinalfish, congrats on the pick up! I have a pair of Banggai's that have been in my tank since the beginning. They are a male/female who are constantly breeding. Mine are pretty active during the day and eat fine when the lights are on, their behavior ramps up a tad at night, but not much. My male seems to be holding eggs every other few weeks.

    Best of luck with yours!

Thanks mojoe. I could have also got a yellow/purple damsel and a serpent star but was weary of adding anything that could be a potential pain later on. I felt like the cardina would be peaceful enough.

My Clownfish are bullying the pajama cardinalfish. Is this common when adding new fish? Maybe the Clownfish are being territorial but it may subside? I want to keep it peaceful. Any input?

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
    Is it tomorrow yet?

Yes common. if it continues and the fish are looking stressed, try rearranging the scape a little, especially the area the clowns hang out in.

If it gets too bad you may have give the clowns a time out.

I am looking forward to cardinal fry.;D
