    ok well he has been in the tank for about 25 hours and no sing of him. the tank is a small 26 mixxed reef. i have looked at the sand, everywere i cant find him. i keep looking to see if he jumped

    It is a dry heat, yeah right !
    Look in the overflow if you have one. If not he is probably hiding, mine does it all the time.

    You checked the floor throughly right?
